Chimpanzees have a morbid dread of spiders, and often behave anxiously or aggressively in their vicinity. Certain schools of thought attribute the origins of arachnophobia to this trait.

However, many spider phobias are 'learned' from phobic parents (usually mothers) who exhibit fearful or controlled behaviour around them. Others are 'taught' by cruel jokes (usually from brothers) and peer group bullying as children. So is your spider phobia: nature, nurture or social conditioning?

Many famous people have had a fear of spiders, including Andre Agassi, Kirsten Dunst, Wendy Richard and Justin Timberlake.

The phobic's reaction is typically triggered by the sight and movement of a spider, or any 'creepy-crawly' insect body. Particular attention is paid to the black body contrast against a white surrounding, and this means that even the smallest house spider can produce terror. It is not limited to large tropical spiders, which we seldom encounter in the UK, except on TV and in books and  films..
Curing this common phobia is relatively simple, and simply involves re-training the unconscious mind to respond differently. We do NOT use shock tactics, 'flooding' or systematic desensitisation, as these have been shown to be cruel and ineffective. Nor do we try to 'talk you out of it' as this does not work either. A simple and reliable process of light hypnosis and safe guided visualisation, coupled with NLP and TFT techniques produces profound and immediate results.
You will know straight away that you no longer have a spider phobia, and we will help you to find ways to gently test this in your own experience. You will NOT be required to hold spiders or keep them as pets!

For us, the most enjoyable phobia cure is that of spiders, and many relieved clients will testify that they now 'smile rather than scream' at the thought of encountering these usually shy and harmless common creatures.
"There is absolutely no need for anyone
to suffer a phobia nowadays......"
